Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each, typically on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The primary objective of the game is to score by advancing a ball into the opposing team’s goal, primarily using the feet, although players may use other parts of their bodies except for their hands and arms (with the exception of the goalkeeper). The sport is widely regarded as the most popular game in the world, known for its rich history and significant global following. The term “football” can refer to different variations of the sport, depending on the region: in most countries, it refers to association football (soccer), while in the United States and Canada, it commonly denotes American football, which has different rules and gameplay. Football fosters teamwork, strategic thinking, and physical fitness, and is played recreationally and competitively at various levels, from local to professional leagues, including major international tournaments like the FIFA World Cup.
