Fotbal

Fotbal, known as football in most of the world and as soccer in some countries like the United States, is a team sport that involves two teams, each consisting of eleven players, competing to score by getting a ball into the opposing team’s goal. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end, and the primary objective is to accumulate more goals than the opponent within a set time frame, typically 90 minutes, divided into two halves.

Players primarily use their feet to maneuver the ball, with the exception of the goalkeepers, who can use their hands within the penalty area. The sport is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) in most international competitions.

Fotbal is one of the most popular sports globally, characterized by its emphasis on teamwork, strategy, and skill. It has various forms, including indoor and futsal variations, and is played at both amateur and professional levels, with a rich cultural significance in many countries. Major international tournaments, such as the FIFA World Cup and continental championships, showcase the sport on a global stage.
